| 1 July 2009 | Waste disposal levy came into force Online Waste Levy System (OWLS) released Set up details provided to Levy Collector Levy Collector will need to be notified of your proposed methodology by this date After this date, applications to store material for longer than 6 months can be lodged |
| 20 July 2009 | Applications to be classified as a smaller facility (less than 1,000 tonnes) lodged by this date |
| 20 August 2009 | First month of waste deposit information submitted by this date |
| 20 October 2009 | First waste disposal levy payments due by this date |
