Landfill Guidelines
The Ministry for the Environment has produced a series of guidelines relating to landfill issues. These are available for free by emailing orders@mfe.govt.nz or can be downloaded for free from the waste publications page.
The Sustainable Management Fund previously funded the development of good practice guidelines for landfill design, siting and operational procedures by the Centre for Advanced Engineering: Landfill Guidelines (PDF 667 KB).
The Landfill Review and Audit
The Landfill Review and Audit updates the 1998 National Landfill Census and uses a rapid hazard assessment to consider the risks posed by operating landfills in New Zealand.
