Senior Adviser, RMA Implementation Team

Working with Local Government Group

Vacancy 1092

Closing date: 5pm, 6 August 2008

This is a full-time permanent role based in Wellington.

Your role will be to share RMA best-practice with local authorities, RMA practitioners and government agencies around New Zealand.  To do this you’ll work in partnership with local government and professional bodies to develop and deliver training resources (such as material for the Quality Planning website), professional development programmes (such as the Making Good Decisions programme), workshops and seminars.  On a strategic level, you’ll advise Ministers and local government, and also research the implementation of the RMA.

Experienced in dealing with local government, you’ve worked with the RMA for at least three years.  Coming from local or central government, or the private sector, you understand the practical results of policy implementation.

Salary Range:  Senior Adviser: $76,975 to $97,255
